Scripture Reading:
“And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one. ”John 17:22
Prayer Focus:
Christ-centered identity and unity.
Devotional Thought:
Jesus is the full expression of God’s glory. What you see in Christ is what God intends for humanity. To behold Christ is to behold destiny.
Prayer Points:
- Reveal Christ more clearly to me (John 17:22). “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:” (John 17:22 KJV)
- Let His life be formed in me (Galatians 2:20) “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20 KJV)
- Remove distorted images of God (Hebrews 1:3). “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” (Hebrews 1:3 KJV)
- I fix my eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2 KJV)
- Let Christ’s nature flow through me. (Colossians 1:27) “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Colossians 1:27 (KJV)
- I walk in His likeness. (Romans 8:29) “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:29 (KJV)
- Christ is glorified in me. (Philippians 1:20) “According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.” Philippians 1:20 (KJV)
Declarations:
- Christ is glorified in STBC.
