Welcome to October at Spirit Temple Bible Church.
Our Word of the Month is IDENTITY, and our focus is Established in Christ.
Throughout this year, God has been taking us on a clear journey. Open Doors gave us access. Supernatural Victory taught us to stand in the victory of Christ. Kingdom Wisdom taught us how to govern what grace has placed in our hands.
Now, in October, we are going deeper into a foundational truth:
Who are we in Christ?
Identity matters because how you see yourself affects how you live. You can have an open door and still be afraid to enter it. You can have victory and still think like someone who is defeated. You can possess wisdom and still make decisions from insecurity if you do not understand who you are.
The Gospel does not simply reveal what Jesus did for us. It also reveals who we have become because of what Jesus did.
In Christ, we are not trying to become new creations. We are new creations.
• Our past does not define us.
• Our failures do not define us.
• Our circumstances do not define us.
• The opinions of people do not define us.
• Christ defines us.
• We are loved in Christ.
• We are accepted in Christ.
• We are righteous in Christ.
• We are complete in Christ.
• We are new creations in Christ.
Colossians 2:6–7 tells us to walk in Christ, “rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith.”
That is our direction for October.
We are becoming rooted in Christ, built up in Christ, and established in the truth
of who we are in Him.
This is not a month of trying to invent a new identity. It is a month of discovering, believing, and living from the identity that is already ours because of the finished work of Jesus Christ.

• I am not defined by my past, my failures, or the opinions of people.
• I am defined by Christ and His finished work.
• I am loved.
• I am accepted.
• I am righteous in Christ.
• I am complete in Him.
• Christ is my life.
• I am rooted in Christ.
• I am built up in Christ.
• I am established in Christ.
• I know who I am.
• I know whose I am.
• And Christ will be revealed through my life.
