PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY:
- Thank God for His sovereignty over every nation and people.
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before Him, for dominion belongs to the LORD and He rules over the nations. (Psalm 22:27-28, NIV).
- Pray for the spread of the gospel in every corner of the earth.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come (Matthew 24:14, NIV)
- Intercede for nations in conflict to experience peace and restoration.
He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. (Isaiah 2:4, KJV)
- Pray for leaders of nations to govern with wisdom and justice.
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NIV).
- Declare that God’s glory will shine in places of darkness and oppression.
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1, KJV)
- Ask for protection and provision for missionaries and gospel workers.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19, NIV)
- Pray for revival in cities, communities, and nations around the world.
LORD, I have heard of Your fame; I stand in awe of Your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. (Habakkuk 3:2, NIV)
- Declare that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of God’s glory.
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14, NIV)
- Thank God for making you a light and witness to the nations.
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14, NIV)
